Thank Yous: My family for believing in me. My friends for supporting me. All my teachers for giving me my start, and helping me through the music worldMs. Alice Cotton, Ms. Sue Silbert, Mr. Paul Larsen, Ms. Deana Wagner, Ms. Sherry Wilson, Mr. Scott Chamberlain, Ms. Linda Veech, Mr. Bob Helmacy, Mr. Nate Lienhard, and Mr. Patrick Burns for all of your instruction, and, sometimes agitating criticism; it paid off. All the people who helped me make this dream a reality. I could not have done any of this without you. A very special thanks to all my role models, Kenny G, Dave Koz, Marc Antoine and Davit Benoit. Your music has truly inspired me. A very humble thank you to God for creating me, and giving me this wonderful talent.
Afterwards: I am so happy to finally be bringing music into the public world by making Footsteps. We are all slowly walking towards our destiny; and all of the passion, love, and emotion is what we remember in our steps along the way. Music is one of the greatest gifts in our world. It holds the secret to unlocking all of that love and emotion. It is the secret to our past, present and future. It marks our footsteps on our journey towards our fate.
Thank you, Michael Mahadeen November, 2001

Until I get a record company to put me on thier label (in otherwords, until I get a MichaelMahadeen.com) I will be using this as my homepage for my new CD, Footsteps. The Footsteps project is nearing completion, so for now, I will be using this as a place where you can see some pictures that I'm using for the album, as well as one finished recording, Back in My Life (in mp3 format). I hope you enjoy...look here for updates on this project.
Musical Style: In my research, I have noticed many young stars of many genres. However, there is one genre that as not been exposed to this yet: Smooth Jazz. The music that I will be writing and recording will be Smooth Jazz: a form of Jazz influenced a bit by Soft Rock and Pop. It got its routes from Fusion; a more hip-hop synthesized rhythmic form. Smooth Jazz is also known as California Jazz, or Soft Jazz. I am going to try to stay true to this style, with a sound influenced by Dave Koz, but in order to appeal to more people, I will try to keep the sound of Pop and Rock in my music. Back In My Life (downloadable from this page) is an example of this.
Tracks: Autumn Ballad (entering final post-writing stages) Battle Hymn of the Republic (entering recording stages)
